Edie Schwarb

Biography

Hi! My name is Edie Schwarb and I’m a junior majoring in journalism with a concentration in social and digital media and minoring in sports marketing and management. I’m also an honors student within The Media School, and I’m passionate about telling stories through different means of content.

On campus, I stay involved as a social/digital media intern for IU Athletics through the Mark Cuban Center for Sports Media and Technology where I get to assist in managing IU’s team accounts. I’m also a content specialist with the Little 500 Network and help create content for their channels to cover cycling events year-round. Additionally, I am an intern and a student board member for the Arnolt Center for Investigative Journalism.

This past summer, I worked as a sports marketing with Verge Magazine in London through The Media School’s Summer in London program. I loved my experience studying abroad and can’t wait to return to Europe. I also worked for Indianapolis Monthly as an editorial intern. I’ve spent time in the summer at the High School Journalism Institute as a counselor and co-head counselor, so I’m also super passionate about the pre-college programs The Media School offers.

Outside of my classes and jobs, I like to stay active and spend time outside. I also enjoy traveling and going to concerts with friends. I love sports, and aspire to work in social media management in the sports industry in the future.
