Open to creators from all backgrounds and majors, FIN offers hands-on opportunities, workshops, and collaborative events across every stage of filmmaking, from preproduction to post-production. Whether you are interested in writing, acting, cinematography, costuming, marketing, or distribution, FIN provides an inclusive space to develop artistic voices, build technical skills, showcase work, and connect with fellow creators.

GameDev@IU is IU’s game development community, bringing together students of all skill levels, interests, and identities to form a supportive and productive learning environment. Members work, share ideas, and learn new techniques in an open and collaborative environment. Individuals can form or join teams to create full games.

The IU chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists advocates on behalf of black journalists around the world. The club provides professional development opportunities, including networking with guest speakers and attending the national conference.

The IU chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists advocates on behalf of Hispanic journalists around the world. The club connects members to national scholarships and internships, and offers networking opportunities with alumni and professionals in the industry.

The IU Beth Wood chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America provides practical opportunities to explore and prepare for careers in public relations. The chapter hosts monthly meetings, offers networking opportunities, provides public relations services for clients, and competes in the national Bateman Case Study Competition.

The Student Cinema Guild brings student filmmakers together to produce and enjoy film, and gain the experience and preparation they need to work in the entertainment industry. Students write, direct, produce, and showcase their films. SCG provides support, equipment, monthly workshops, and networking sessions for members. The club also partners with IU Cinema for its annual Crimson Film Festival and helps bring Campus MovieFest, the largest student film festival in the world, to IU each spring.

IU’s student-run radio station broadcasts on 99.1 FM and online. It airs music, covers news and sports, and provides a learning experience for its members. You can work as a DJ, in sports, in the station’s news department, or behind the scenes in departments such as public relations and underwriting.
