Marciano featured in tech summit

Laura Marciano, an assistant professor for The Media School, was a featured speaker at the inaugural World Happiness Summit ® Tech for Good™. The event, held on Oct. 17 at the H-FARM innovation hub in Venice, Italy, featured speakers from the U.S. and Europe who explored how innovation can best serve humanity. The summit examined how AI and technology can be harnessed to enhance personal, professional, corporate, environmental, and societal wellbeing.

For her presentation, “Media Use & Health,” Marciano drew from interdisciplinary research on youth, digital media, and health biomarkers. She discussed how biological data can be integrated with interactive media use patterns to better understand how digital media correlates with wellbeing and youth development.
